Riding on Brendon McCullum's impressive batting, New Zealand registered a six wicket win over Netherland in the ICC World Twenty20 tournament at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.
Chasing Netherland's score of 152 runs, the New Zealand skipper, who was named Man of the Match, scored a brisk 65 runs of 45 balls which had four boundaries and three sixes.
The skipper was also a part of crucial 46 run partnership for the fourth wicket with all-rounder Corey Anderson.
For Netherland, medium pacer Timm van der Gugten took three wickets for 30 runs in his four overs.
Earlier, batting first Netherland posted a challenging total of 151 runs for the loss of four wickets. Skipper Peter Borren and Tom Cooper batted brilliantly and helped the team post a defendable total.
Kiwi bowlers Nathan McCullum, Mitchell McClenaghan, Trent Boult and Kyle Mills took one wicket each.
