Xiaomi is working towards a new record. This time, it is an upcoming 100W charger that is claimed to be so fast that it can charge your phone in less than 10 minutes.
Xiaomi chairman, Lin Bin, shared a video on Weibo of the charger in action. The 100W charger was able to charge a phone with a mammoth 4,000mAh battery from 0 to 50 percent in just seven minutes and the remaining charge was accomplished in the next 10 minutes, The Next Web notes.
This rate is twice as fast as Oppo's SuperVOOC charging with a 50W charger. Although the video is a demo of the technology, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will soon go into mass production, which basically means, the need to carry around a charger will further become less required.
