Cricketer Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh on Tuesday downplayed the non-inclusion of his son's name from the 15-man squad picked for the upcoming World Cup by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

"It is absolutely fine.....whatever the selectors have done and what the BCCI has done, they always do good thing we should be thankful to them," he told ANI here.

Shedding light on what he thinks about Yuvraj's current performance, Yograj Singh said that he is playing very well.

"I think he is playing very well now after his cancer......Let him play in three four months he will be back to the Indian team and I want him to play more Test cricket now," he said.

Earlier in the day, the BCCI announced the squad for the World Cup although Yuvraj Singh's name was prominently missing from the list.

All-rounder Stuart Binny was the surprise inclusion in the list for the tournament, which will be jointly held by Australia and New Zealand from February 14.
