From featuring in a movie with Aamir Khan to winning the Best Supporting Actress at the 64th National Awards, 'Dangal' girl Zaira Wasim has had a great start to her acting career.

Now, she is back to make us awestruck with her upcoming movie 'Secret Superstar'.

At the trailer launch of the film, which has been produced by her former on-screen father Aamir Khan, Zaira talked about the changes her life has seen since 'Dangal' happened.

At a point in the conference, when a reporter likened Jammu and Kashmir to a place where women are not given equal opportunities, the talented actress seemingly lost her cool and said, "Who told you this?"

Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao interrupted.

"Their work speaks," said Aamir, with a grin on his face.

Rao went on to give a message to the all the women saying they all should follow their heart and dreams.

"Girls have been oppressed for thousands of years. Not only in this country, but around the world too, women have to fight hard to achieve everything - for their rights, equal pay for equal work. I would want to tell them to follow their heart and dreams. I wish them luck and success."

Earlier, Zaira Wasim faced backlash for meeting Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

She even posted an apology, which was later deleted.
