Will be revealed officially at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, could be offered in India also
Datsun has teased a slight glimpse of a new concept model that will make its world premiere at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show later this month that opens on October 28. Datsun has not shared any info on the product apart from the picture and its revealing at the Motor Show. However, in a recent interview with us, Vincent Cobee (Corporate Vice President - Global Head of Datsun) in Yokohama, Japan enlightened that Datsun is mulling over to launch crossover in the country very soon (story link just below). So this could be the crossover, the company might launch in India too or it could also be the near-production ready version of the Redi-Go concept.

Speaking of the image, it shows twin headlamp layout just like the pre-facelifted Skoda Yeti. And as it is probably a concept, it features all the blings - LED headlights, LED daytime running lights. The clue that it might be a crossover came from the fender cladding, the teaser image features. Moreover, it also sports the Datsun’s signature inverted trapezoidal grille.
The upcoming Datsun Redi-Go is based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance's CMF-A (Common Module Family) platform similar to that of the Renault Kwid. As it is not clear whether this is the near-production version of the Redi-Go concept or an entirely new product; And if it is altogether a new product, except it to ride on the CMF platform only, like rest of the Renault, Nissan vehicles. Stay tuned for more updates on the product from the Toyota Motor Show.
