Honda Car India Hike Prices of its Entire Model Lineup upto Rs 60,000

It was inevitable!

As the reduced excise duty of cars expired on 31st December, 2014 automakers have now started increasing the ex-showroom prices of their current model lineup. Honda Car India being no different from any other carmaker has hiked the prices upto Rs 60,000.

Ex-showroom price of entry level hatch Brio is hiked by Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 18,000 and is now available in price range of Rs 4.21 lac to Rs 6.30 lac. Similarly prices of Honda Amaze is hiked in the range of Rs. 19,000 to Rs. 23,000 for petrol model and Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 26,000 for fuel efficient diesel versions. The compact sedan is now available at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 5.18 lac to Rs. 7.78 lac.

Honda’s most selling car City gets a price hike of up to Rs. 48,000. Price of the petrol model is increased by Rs 33,000 to Rs 46,000 while the diesel model will be dearer by Rs 37,000 to Rs 48,000. The car now gets an ex-showroom price of Rs. 7.53 lac to Rs. 11.53 lac. Moreover, Honda’s only offering in the premium SUV segment CR-V now gets a price hike of Rs. 60,000 and it will priced at Rs. 20.85 lac and Rs. 24.96 lac.

Earlier, BMW India and General Motors had also announced to hike prices of their entire model lineup.
