Even before Creta set its foot in the Indian market, customers lined up to book this Hyundai SUV. After 4 months of its launch, the car is performing well in the market and was the best selling SUV before Bolero took over the tag with just a few hundred units more. Continuing its successful trail, Creta again received a good response in the overseas markets . Hyundai has sold 70,000 units in India and recorded around 15,770 bookings and orders globally and is now planning to further increase the production of Creta from 9,000 units to 10,000 units to meet global demand. The international market for Creta mainly include Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. In September, Hyundai had to increase the production of Creta to 7,000 units after receiving a massive 40,000 bookings which resulted in increasing the waiting period for procuring a model to 9 months.

Creta has been leading the performer for the Korean manufacturer in Indian market continuously for the last 3 months. In October, Hyundai sales figures were up by 24 percent i than last year with 47,015 units sold. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing, Hyundai Motor India said, “Our goal is to maximise our production to make 10,000 units of Creta to meet the global customers’ demand while maintaining our leadership position in the domestic market. The Creta heralded a new chapter in Hyundai’s success story across the world showcasing HMIL’s success of ‘Make in India’ manufacturing initiative. We have received a strong response from world markets,”
