Mahindra Trims down Scorpio's Black Plastic Cladding From Tailgate

Mahindra has finally decided to cut down the black plastic cladding from the tailgate of Scorpio. The automaker has received feedbacks from its customer to reduce the size of black cladding and is now limited only to the center part with Scorpio badge in middle. The changes in design are done across all the models.

Mechanically, the SUV remains the same as it carry the trusted 2.2-litre mHAWK engine which gives an output of 120bhp and 280Nm of peak torque. The SUV is made available in both 2WD and 4WD version with later getting shift-on-fly system.

The SUV continues to features new swept back headlamps, day-time-running-LEDs, vertical slat grille while rear gets D shaped LED taillamp cluster. It gets a new touch screen infotainment system while some features like rain and light sensors are carried forward along with cruise control and TyreTronics.

Recently, the automaker updated its Scorpio lineup by adding two new variants S4+ & S4+ 4WD and placed them above the S4 trim. The Ex-Showroom Delhi price of S4 variant is Rs 9,29,578 while the S4+ gets a price tag of Rs 9,70,786 and the S4+ 4WD Rs 10,83,630.

Last month in March, Mahindra retailed 45,212 units compared to 51,636 units in March 2014. The automaker has sold 21,030 units of passenger vehicles in March 2015 as against 23,433 units in same month last year. Out of the total sale, Scorpio contributed 5250 units.
