New Chevrolet Beat facelift gets cheaper, priced at Rs. 3.92 lakh

General Motors India, that introduced the 2014 Chevrolet Beat facelift at the 2014 Auto Expo at Rs. 4.06 lakh, has revised the prices of the hatchback. With the recent announcement of cut in excise duty on cars in India, Chevrolet has announced a reduction in the price of its newly launched Beat, which now costs Rs. 3.92 lakh for entry level model.

Available in four trims- PS, LS, LT and LT (O), the vehicle is being offered in petrol, diesel and LPG versions. The Chevrolet Beat facelift comes equipped with a new front bumper, restyled grille and fog lamps. It also gets a new set of alloy wheels and revised rear spoiler, which adds to its sporty character. The company has given some subtle changes to its centre console, while it gets a new upholstery seats. Moreover, the Beat facelift also has a central rear height-adjustable headrest.

Mechanically, the facelifted Beat remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol (also available with LPG) and the 1.0-litre diesel engine. Power is trasmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

The base Chevy Beat petrol is priced at Rs. 3.92 lakh, while the top spec petrol model costs Rs. 5.08 lakh. On the other hand, the entry level oil burner is now tagged at Rs. 4.72 lakh, while the high end LT (O) costs Rs. 5.89 lakh. The two LPG variants LS and LT are priced at Rs. 4.43 lakh and Rs. 4.88 lakh, respectively.
