Nissan Qashqai Crossover revealed, coming to India soon

Nissan has just revealed the Qashqai in the UK and the Japanese manufacturer also has plans to introduce this model into the Indian car market. The Qashqai is a crossover that seats seven people and this is ideal for Indian customer.

In 2007, Nissan launched a model that became the crossover pioneer, found more than 2.0 million customers and was soon followed by scores of imitators. Today, that model is reinvented.

Honda, the Japanese automaker will unveil the production version of its Urban SUV at the Tokyo Motor Show. Based on the 2014 Jazz platform, the vehicle will also make its way to the Indian car market by 2015. Meanwhile, the patent images of this mini SUV have been leaked on web, giving the idea what could be the design of the SUV when it will be put into production.

ANS and NNG have just launched the India edition of the new ANS Navigator App for AndroidTM smartphones – a fully-featured turn-by-turn navigation application which is available immediately on the Google Play Store at 1,399 INR. The app includes the very latest 2013 Q2 India map and content covering over 1.7 million km of road and more than 7.3 million Points of Interest (POIs).

Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury car maker has officially revealed the new S 65 AMG, which now enhance the sporting S-Class lineup. The vehicle is now powered by the 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine that churns out a maximum power output of 630bhp and 1000Nm of top torque.

Toyota, the Japanese car maker has unveiled the 2014 Corolla sedan at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show. The European spec saloon is expected to go on sale in the Gulf region by March 2014. Only petrol version of the car will be launched, and it will be imported from Taiwan.

BMW, the German luxury carmaker will launch the updated Z4 roadster for the Indian consumers on November 14. Since the other two German luxury carmakers are aggressive with their strategies , BMW is also aiming to counter the increasing competition by introducing new products. One such recent example was the launch of facelifted 5-Series saloon, and now its the turn of Z4 roadster to get an upgrade in the Indian market. 

Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi, collectively termed as 'The Big Three' are trying desperately to conceal the number one spot in the luxury car segment for themselves in India. Audi has worked quite aggressively on its strategies and is inching closer to this prestigious spot. Recently, It launched the stripped down version of Crossover Q3 S for the Indian market.

Toyota, the Japanese automaker has now officially revealed the Etios Cross in the Brazilian market. The vehicle will directly compete against the likes of Cross Polo and the Fabia Scout. The Etios Cross is basically a jacked up version of the Etios Liva hatchback, and features body cladding and taller wheels giving it a sportier stance.

After getting an overwhelming response at the 2013 Indonesia Motor Show, the Japanese automaker is trying everything to promote its all-new Mobilio MPV. Following the last month, the Mobilio MPV has been again put on display at a regional auto show in Makassar to get customer feedback. The Brio based MPV will go for the production in early 2014 at the company's production facility in West Java, Indonesia.

Jeep has a long association with India, however the connect has been through Mahindra. The Indian importer of Jeep-design based products— in reality the Willys. Now, the American company is back in India with Fiat, as the company has procured the Chrysler and Jeep brands. Jeep has been the best and first-off-roading vehicle in the world made for the American army during the Second World War. The company still continues to make its trademark off-roader, but now it under the Wrangler badge. We get our hands on this model and test some of its capabilities.
