Volvo India Receives 266 pre-orders for the XC90 SUV!

The second generation Volvo XC90 which was launched in India in May has received a generous 266 pre orders. The Swedish automaker launched it at Rs 64.9 Lacs (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai, pre-Octroi), and booking were open since then, while the deliveries will start from this month. The SUV is available only in two trims solely with a diesel engine option - the Momentum trim is priced at Rs. 64.9 lacs while the top-end Inscription attracts Rs. 77.9 lacs. 

Adding more on the new XC90, It is based on Volvo’s brand new SPA (Scalable Platform Architecture) platform which is considerably light weight compared to the previous one. The 2015 XC90 is powered by a 2.0-liter four cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel. The engine produces a healthy 225 hp at 4,250 rpm and 470 Nm of max torque in between 1750-2500 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 8-speed automatic transmission, power is sent to all four wheels via an AWD system

Recently, 2015 Volvo XC90 also received full five stars in the stringent 2015 Euro NCAP crash assessment. Moreover, it also becomes the first automobile in the world to score full on full in Euro NCAP Autonomous Emergency Braking Car to Car rear-end tests (AEB City & AEB Interurban); and this City Safety tech is standard in the XC90.
