Australia S&P/ASX200 gains 0.07%

Australian equity market finished the first trading session of the week slightly higher on Monday, 11 December 2017, thanks to positive lead from global markets on Friday. Gains from the shares of banks, miners, and energy companies were offsetting modest losses elsewhere. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 stock index was up 0.07% at 5,998.3 points.
