Auto stocks correct

Auto stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Auto index decreasing 94.61 points or 0.51% at 18414.54 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, Tata Motors Ltd (down 1.66%), TVS Motor Company Ltd (down 1.63%),Eicher Motors Ltd (down 1.2%),Bosch Ltd (down 1.19%),Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 0.8%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (down 0.61%), Apollo Tyres Ltd (down 0.47%), MRF Ltd (down 0.24%), Balkrishna Industries Ltd (down 0.15%), and Ashok Leyland Ltd (down 0.13%).

On the other hand, Exide Industries Ltd (up 1.8%), and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (up 0.19%) turned up.

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 133.27 or 0.33% at 40603.05.

The Nifty 50 index was up 33 points or 0.28% at 11999.05.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 65.78 points or 0.49% at 13538.79.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 28 points or 0.6% at 4670.28.

On BSE,1239 shares were trading in green, 1097 were trading in red and 195 were unchanged.
