Board of Rain Industries approves investment of USD 27 mn for setting up two Anhydrous Carbon Pellets plants

At meeting held on 13 November 2019

The Board of Rain Industries at its meeting held on 13 November 2019 has approved the following -

Setting up of Anhydrous Carbon Pellets ("ACP") Plant by Rain CII Carbon LLC, (Wholly owned Subsidiary Company) at Chalmette, Louisiana, USA to manufacture 200,000 MT per annum (MTPA) of ACP at a capital cost of US $12 million which will be met out of internal accruals. The project is expected to be completed during 1st Quarter of 2020; and

Setting up of Anhydrous Carbon Pellets (ACP) Plant by Rain CII Carbon (Vizag), (Wholly owned Subsidiary Company) to manufacture 250,000 MTPA of ACP and Calcined Carbon Pellets ("CCP") at SEZ, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India at an additional capital cost of US $15 million which will be met out of internal accruals. The project is expected to be completed during 2nd Quarter of 2020.
