Board of UltraTech Cement approves scheme of arrangement

UltraTech Cement announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 04 July 2016, has approved the scheme of arrangement between Jaiprakash Associates, Jaypee Cement Corporation (subsidiary of Jaiprakash Associates) and the Company and their respectively shareholders and creditors for the acquisition of the identified cement plants, on slump sale basis, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Andhra Pradesh, having capacity of 21.20 mtpa, subject to requisite approvals.
