Capital Goods shares gain

Capital Goods stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index rising 143.22 points or 1.16% at 12472.06 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 15.98%), V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 12.91%),Carborundum Universal Ltd (up 8.52%),Grindwell Norton Ltd (up 7.74%),Graphite India Ltd (up 5%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were HEG Ltd (up 4.99%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 4.97%), Finolex Cables Ltd (up 3.44%), Bharat Forge Ltd (up 2.94%), and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 1.28%).

On the other hand, NBCC (India) Ltd (down 2.64%), Havells India Ltd (down 0.73%), and Schaeffler India Ltd (down 0.6%) moved lower.

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 101.09 or 0.32% at 31689.81.

The Nifty 50 index was up 12.65 points or 0.14% at 9279.4.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 114.75 points or 1.06% at 10915.66.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 42.44 points or 1.12% at 3839.19.

On BSE,1069 shares were trading in green, 596 were trading in red and 66 were unchanged.
