China Market ends 0.6% up on MSCI inclusion of 234 Chinese large caps

China share market closed session higher on Tuesday, 15 May 2018, after recouping early losses late afternoon thanks to reports about MSCI inclusion of 234 Chinese large caps which helped overcome worries about China economy after weaker-than-expected investment and retail sales in April 2018 and Sino-U.S. trade war. The blue-chip CSI300 index ended 0.4% higher at 3,924.10, while the Shanghai Composite Index closed up 0.6% at 3,192.12 points. The Shenzhen Composite Index climbed 0.91%, or 16.63 points, to 1,839.88 while the Nasdaq style ChiNext rose 1.48% or 27.03 points to 1,858.01. The CSI300 financial sector sub-index was lower by 0.19%, the consumer staples sector up 0.34%, the real estate index up 0.38% and healthcare sub-index up 2.66%.
