Net profit of Coal India declined 38.25% to Rs 2716.09 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 4398.35 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016. Sales rose 8.28% to Rs 23171.58 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 21400.26 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016.For the full year,net profit declined 35.05% to Rs 9265.98 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 14266.78 crore during the previous year ended March 2016. Sales rose 0.27% to Rs 78220.61 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 78007.63 crore during the previous year ended March 2016.
