For its captive consumption

Electrosteel Steels announced that the Company had entered into an agreement with Electrosteel Castings (ECL), having captive coking coal mines, for procurement of coking coal to be used for its captive consumption.

The coal blocks allocation to ECL has been cancelled by Hon'ble Supreme Court vide order dated 24 September 2014. ECL is presently examining the order.
