Energy stocks edge lower
Energy stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Energy index decreasing 15.59 points or 0.3% at 5207.55 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Energy index, Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd (down 1.9%), Reliance Industries Ltd (down 0.82%), Goa Carbon Ltd (down 0.81%), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.13%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Panama Petrochem Ltd (up 10.68%), Selan Explorations Technology Ltd (up 4.81%), and Adani Gas Ltd (up 4.33%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 104.32 or 0.25% at 41453.68.
The Nifty 50 index was down 26.7 points or 0.22% at 12229.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 64.58 points or 0.47% at 13713.33.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 15.72 points or 0.33% at 4781.05.
On BSE,1311 shares were trading in green, 1075 were trading in red and 166 were unchanged.
