Gillette India announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 12 October 2015, have declared an interim dividend of Rs 19.52 per equity share to non-promoter shareholders. The Board of Directors were informed that the promoter and promoter group shareholders of the Company have already disclaimed their right to receive the said interim dividend in order to avoid a circular payment to the Company.The interim dividend was accordingly declared with respect to non- promoter shareholders only. Although not under any obligation, the said dividend has been declared by the Board of Directors as a special dividend for the discontinuation of the Duracell's distributorship, as a gesture of goodwill to the minority shareholders.
The interim dividend shall be paid between 27 October 2015 to 10 November 2015.
