Gujarat Industries Power Co restores Unit 2 of Surat Lignite Power Plant

Gujarat Industries Power Co announced that after completion of Economizer Beams replacement and other associated works Unit-2 at Surat Lignite Power Plant has been synchronized with grid (restored) on 01 July 2021 at 23.08 hours. The Unit was under forced shutdown from 16 December 2020 due to major technical snag in Economizer Beams.
