Indiabulls Real Estate gains on reports of eyeing strategic partner for London project

Indiabulls Real Estate rose 2.45% to Rs 68.95 at 10:09 IST on BSE, on reports the company is looking for a strategic partner for the London property it acquired last year.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 16.63 points or 0.04% at 26,834.64

On BSE, so far 8.61 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 17.18 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 69.30 and a low of Rs 67.60 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 86.90 on 2 February 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 41 on 18 June 2015.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 12 October 2015, rising 5.49% compared with 5.05% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 20% as against Sensex's 2.74% decline.

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 92.34 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

As per reports, Indiabulls Real Estate is in talks with private equity (PE) firms, sovereign funds and family offices to sell a 40% stake in the project in the Mayfair locality of central London for around Rs 1000 crore. The company launched the process to monetise the asset after a consultant recently completed its valuation, as per reports. Negotiations for the stake sale are on and a deal is expected to be concluded in a few weeks, reports indicated. The monetisation of London asset is aimed at debt reduction and achieving appropriate capital structure for the property, reports further suggested.

Indiabulls Real Estate's consolidated net profit rose 133.4% to Rs 90.68 crore on 20.5% increase in total income to Rs 751.35 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.
