Information Technology shares fall

Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 358.91 points or 2.36% at 14846.44 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Mphasis Ltd (down 3.85%), Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 3.43%),Infosys Ltd (down 3.15%),Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (down 2.72%),Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (down 2.5%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Subex Ltd (down 2.34%), Accelya Solutions India Ltd (down 2.25%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 2.23%), Hexaware Technologies Ltd (down 2.12%), and Tech Mahindra Ltd (down 2.03%).

On the other hand, eClerx Services Ltd (up 17.75%), 63 Moons Technologies Ltd (up 6.94%), and AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (up 4.16%) moved up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 200.46 or 0.49% at 40374.71.

The Nifty 50 index was down 67.85 points or 0.57% at 11900.55.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 19.52 points or 0.15% at 13337.6.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 14.46 points or 0.31% at 4650.75.

On BSE,1042 shares were trading in green, 1317 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
