Information Technology stocks edge lower

Information Technology stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index decreasing 104.04 points or 0.68% at 15277.52 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Tata Elxsi Ltd (down 5.25%), Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 5%),Trigyn Technologies Ltd (down 3.11%),HCL Technologies Ltd (down 2.3%),Mphasis Ltd (down 2.27%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (down 2.14%), Majesco Ltd (down 2.1%), Hexaware Technologies Ltd (down 2.04%), Tanla Solutions Ltd (down 2.01%), and L&T Technology Services Ltd (down 1.87%).

On the other hand, Zen Technologies Ltd (up 9.4%), Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (up 3.86%), and 63 Moons Technologies Ltd (up 3.27%) turned up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 373.92 or 1% at 37905.9.

The Nifty 50 index was up 110.7 points or 0.99% at 11237.1.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 56.33 points or 0.44% at 12769.35.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 25.52 points or 0.59% at 4327.81.

On BSE,1087 shares were trading in green, 1214 were trading in red and 168 were unchanged.
