Information Technology stocks fall

Information Technology stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index decreasing 67.24 points or 0.42% at 16082.24 at 13:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, NIIT Ltd (down 3.21%), Subex Ltd (down 2.56%),Quick Heal Technologies Ltd (down 1.81%),Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (down 1.42%),Sasken Technologies Ltd (down 1.25%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Persistent Systems Ltd (down 1.18%), Infosys Ltd (down 0.97%), Intellect Design Arena Ltd (down 0.81%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 0.57%), and Ramco Systems Ltd (down 0.5%).

On the other hand, Tanla Solutions Ltd (up 7.46%), HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 5.78%), and Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (up 4.93%) turned up.

At 13:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 242.81 or 0.59% at 41385.47.

The Nifty 50 index was up 69.85 points or 0.58% at 12159.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 96.09 points or 0.66% at 14749.6.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 36.27 points or 0.71% at 5117.07.

On BSE,1365 shares were trading in green, 955 were trading in red and 153 were unchanged.
