Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 121.89 points or 0.75% at 16045.55 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, 3i Infotech Ltd (down 5.49%), Wipro Ltd (down 3.75%),Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (down 2.17%),Expleo Solutions Ltd (down 1.66%),Infosys Ltd (down 1.53%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were eClerx Services Ltd (down 1.22%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (down 0.88%), Aptech Ltd (down 0.66%), Zensar Technologies Ltd (down 0.45%), and TVS Electronics Ltd (down 0.43%).

On the other hand, Quick Heal Technologies Ltd (up 4.65%), Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (up 3.34%), and Persistent Systems Ltd (up 3.27%) moved up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 289.29 or 0.69% at 41663.34.

The Nifty 50 index was down 80.85 points or 0.65% at 12281.45.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 76.62 points or 0.53% at 14460.33.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 17.85 points or 0.36% at 4949.98.

On BSE,1237 shares were trading in green, 1116 were trading in red and 174 were unchanged.
