Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10595.40, a premium of 31.35 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10564.05 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 5.87 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 12.15 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 1.25 points or 0.01% to settle at 10,564.05.
TCS, Mindtree, Infosys, Hindalco Industries and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. TCS April 2018 futures traded at 3407.15, at a discount from spot closing of 3414. Mindtree April 2018 futures traded at 970, at a discount from spot closing of 987.95.
Infosys April 2018 futures traded at 1174.55, at a discount from spot closing of 1179.65. Hindalco Industries April 2018 futures traded at 262.40, at a discount from spot closing of 263.05. HDFC Bank April 2018 futures traded at 1963, at a premium over spot closing of 1959.70.
The April 2018 F&O contracts expire on 26 April 2018.
