Nifty April futures at modest premium

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment surges

The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10550.95, a premium of 24.75 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10526.20 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 7.91 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 5.87 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index lost 22.50 points or 0.21% to settle at 10,526.20.

ITC, Infosys, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation, Hindalco Industries and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. ITC April 2018 futures traded at 276.40, at a discount from spot closing of 276.50. Infosys April 2018 futures traded at 1122.45, at a discount from spot closing of 1125.95.

Dewan Housing Finance Corporation April 2018 futures traded at 591.90, at a premium over spot closing of 591.45. Hindalco Industries April 2018 futures traded at 244.65, at a premium over spot closing of 244. ICICI Bank April 2018 futures traded at 290.50, at a premium over spot closing of 290.10.

The April 2018 F&O contracts expire on 26 April 2018
