Nifty February futures trade at discount

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops

The Nifty February 2018 futures traded at 10,740.65, at a discount of 19.95 points over spot closing of 10,760.60 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment fell to Rs 7.24 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 15.08 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 256.30 points or 2.33% to settle at 10,760.60, its lowest closing level since 16 January 2018.

PC Jeweller, Titan Company, Reliance Industries (RIL), DLF and State Bank of India (SBI) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. PC Jeweller February 2018 futures traded at 363.30, at a premium over spot closing of 362.50. Titan Company February 2018 futures traded at 824.10, at a discount to spot closing of 825.

RIL February 2018 futures traded at 905.20, at a premium to spot closing of 901.90. DLF February 2018 futures traded at 224, at a premium over spot closing of 223.05. SBI February 2018 futures traded at 297.05, at a premium over spot closing of 295.80.

The February 2018 F&O contracts expire on Thursday, 22 February 2018.
