Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises

Nifty February futures trade at premium

The Nifty February 2018 futures traded at 11058.70, at a premium of 31 points over spot closing of 11027.70 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 4.73 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 3.52 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index dropped 21.95 points or 0.2% to settle at 11,027.70, its lowest closing level since 22 January 2018.

Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), PC Jeweller and Reliance Industries (RIL) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Steel February 2018 futures traded at 710, at a premium over spot closing of 706.60. ICICI Bank February 2018 futures traded at 355, at a premium over spot closing of 353.15.

SBI February 2018 futures traded at 314.85, near spot closing of 314.50. PC Jeweller February 2018 futures traded at 490.45, at a premium over spot closing of 486.90. RIL February 2018 futures traded at 967.10, at a premium over spot closing of 962.

The February 2018 F&O contracts expire on Thursday, 22 February 2018.
