Turnover rises
Nifty February 2014 futures were at 6191, at a premium of 55.15 points over spot closing of 6135.85. Nifty January 2014 futures were at 6152.50, at a premium of 16.65 points over spot closing. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 228160.18 crore from Rs 182623.36 crore on Friday, 24 January 2014.
Infosys January 2014 futures were at 3748.15, at a premium over spot closing of 3739.20.
L&T January 2014 futures were at 983.20, near spot closing of 982.50.
State Bank of India (SBI) January 2014 futures were at 1601, near spot closing of 1598.75.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty lost 130.90 points or 2.09% to settle at 6,135.85, its lowest closing level since 28 November 2013.
The February 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 26 February 2014. The near-month January 2014 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, 30 January 2014.
