Turnover drops
Nifty March 2014 futures were at 6566, at a premium of 28.75 points over spot closing of 6537.25. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 159201.35 crore from Rs 250888.57 crore on Friday, 7 March 2014.
HDFC Bank March 2014 futures were at 742.45, at a premium over spot closing of 736.50.
State Bank of India March 2014 futures were at 1685, at a discount over spot closing of 1693.80.
ICICI Bank March 2014 futures were at 1199.20, at a premium compared to spot closing of 1190.90.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 10.60 points or 0.16% to settle at 6,537.25, a record closing high.
The March 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 27 March 2014.
