Turnover drops
Nifty March 2014 futures were at 6282, near spot closing of 6276.95. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 82447.61 crore from Rs 262498.33 crore on Wednesday, 26 February 2014. The stock market was closed on Thursday, 27 February 2014, on account of Mahashivratri.
Aurobindo Pharma March 2014 futures were at 527.60, at a premium over spot closing of 524.15.
Tech Mahindra March 2014 futures were at 1888.50, at a premium over spot closing of 1,876.
Tata Steel March 2014 futures were at 346.45, at a premium over spot closing of 344.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 38.15 points or 0.61% to settle at 6,276.95, its highest closing level since 23 January 2014.
The March 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 27 March 2014.
