Nifty March 2015 futures at small premium to spot price

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps

Nifty March 2015 futures were at 8769.05, a premium of 12.30 points over spot closing of 8756.75. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 2.48 lakh crore, from Rs 2.36 lakh crore during the previous trading session on Thursday, 5 March 2015. The stock market was closed on Friday, 6 March 2015, on account of Holi.

State Bank of India (SBI) March 2015 futures were at 291.35, near spot closing of 290.35.

Axis Bank March 2015 futures were at 593, near spot closing of 590.

ICICI Bank March 2015 futures were at 334.20, near spot closing of 332.70

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty tanked 181 points or 2.03% to settle at 8,756.75, its lowest closing level since 26 February 2015.

The March 2015 derivatives contracts expire on 26 March 2015.
