Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps
The Nifty November 2016 futures traded at 8,655.15, a premium of 39.90 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 8,615.25 in the cash market. The December 2016 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 8,710, a premium of 95.75 points compared with the Nifty's closing in the cash market. The October 2016 F&O contracts expired today, 27 October 2016.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 9.61 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 6.20 lakh crore registered yesterday, 26 October 2016.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index remained unchanged at 8,615.25
Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Maruti Suzuki India November 2016 futures traded at 5910, at a premium compared with spot closing of 5885. Tata Motors November 2016 futures traded at 526.80, at a premium over spot closing of 525.50. Tata Steel November 2016 futures traded at 402, at a premium over spot closing of 399.05
Axis Bank November 2016 futures traded at 489.40, at a premium over spot closing of 487. HDFC Bank November 2016 futures traded at 1255.05, at a premium compared with spot closing of 1249.
The November 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 24 November 2016.
