Nifty October 2015 futures at premium

Turnover surges

The October 2015 futures on the 50-unit CNX Nifty index traded at 8261, at a premium of 9.30 points compared with Nifty's closing of 8251.70 in the cash market. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 2.52 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 1.88 lakh crore registered during previous trading session yesterday, 20 October 2015.

In the cash market, the Nifty fell 9.95 points or 0.12% to settle at 8,251.70, its lowest closing level since 16 October 2015.

Reliance Industries, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India and Aurobindo Pharma were the top traded individual stock futures contracts on the F&O segment of NSE.

Reliance Industries October 2015 futures traded at 955.95, at a premium compared to spot closing of 953.90.

Bajaj Auto October 2015 futures traded at 2527.40, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 2522.

HDFC Bank October 2015 futures traded at 1097.50, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 1094.90.

State Bank of India October 2015 futures traded at 249.90, near the stock's spot closing of 249.40.

Aurobindo Pharma October 2015 futures traded at 813, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 811.

The October 2015 F&O contracts are set to expire on 29 October 2015.
