Maruti Suzuki India October 2015 futures trade near spot price
The October 2015 futures on the 50-unit CNX Nifty index traded at 8262, at a premium of 23.85 points over Nifty's closing of 8238.15 in the cash market. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 2.12 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 1.81 lakh crore registered on 15 October 2015.
In the cash market, the Nifty rose 58.65 points or 0.72% to settle at 8,238.15, its lowest closing level since 21 August 2015.
Maruti Suzuki India, State Bank of India, Tata Motors, Axis Bank and Larsen & Toubro were the top traded individual stock futures contracts on the F&O segment of NSE.
Maruti Suzuki India October 2015 futures traded at 4446, near the stock's closing price of 4445.10 in the cash market.
State Bank of India October 2015 futures traded at 257.70, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 256.70.
Tata Motors October 2015 futures traded at 385.40, at a discount compared with the stock's spot closing of 386.80.
Axis Bank October 2015 futures traded at 506.50, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 504.80.
Larsen & Toubro October 2015 futures traded at 1610.10, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 1607.
The October 2015 F&O contracts are set to expire on 29 October 2015.
