Nifty October 2015 futures at marginal discount

F&O turnover falls

The October 2015 futures on the 50-unit CNX Nifty index traded at 8274.15, at a marginal discount of 0.90 points over Nifty's closing of 8275.05 in the cash market. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment fell to Rs 1.62 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 2.12 lakh crore registered during previous trading session on Friday, 16 October 2015.

In the cash market, the Nifty rose 36.90 points or 0.45% to settle at 8,275.05, its highest closing level since 21 August 2015.

Reliance Industries, HCL Technologies, State Bank of India, Infosys and UltraTech Cement were the top traded individual stock futures contracts on the F&O segment of NSE.

Reliance Industries October 2015 futures traded at 962, at a slight discount to closing price of 962.30 in the cash market.

HCL Technologies October 2015 futures traded at 854, at a discount compared to the stock's spot closing of 859.

State Bank of India October 2015 futures traded at 254, at a marginal discount compared with the stock's spot closing of 254.05.

Infosys October 2015 futures traded at 1113.90, at a slight discount compared with the stock's spot closing of 1114.70.

UltraTech Cement October 2015 futures traded at 2907, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 2900.25.

The October 2015 F&O contracts are set to expire on 29 October 2015.
