Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The October 2016 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 8768.20, premium of 24.25 points compared with Nifty's closing of 8743.95 in the cash market. The Nifty November 2016 futures traded at 8810.50, a premium of 66.55 points compared with the spot closing for the index.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 3.82 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 3.24 lakh crore registered yesterday, 4 October 2016.
In the cash market, the Nifty fell 25.20 points or 0.29% to settle at 8,743.95, its lowest closing level since 3 October 2016.
State Bank of India, Reliance Infrastructure, Vedanta, Tata Motors and Reliance Capital were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. State Bank of India October 2016 futures traded at 260.70, at a premium compared with spot closing of 260. Reliance Infrastructure October 2016 futures traded at 592, at a premium compared with spot closing of 588.90. Vedanta October 2016 futures traded at 191.50, at a premium compared with spot closing of 190.80.
Tata Motors October 2016 futures traded at 558.80, at a premium compared with spot closing of 557.40. Reliance Capital October 2016 futures traded at 579, at a premium compared with spot closing of 576.
The October 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 27 October 2016. The November 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 24 November 2016.
