Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index declines 4.68%

Nifty IT index ended down 4.68% at 14688.65 today. The index is down 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Infosys Ltd slipped 16.19%, HCL Technologies Ltd fell 2.83% and Tech Mahindra Ltd shed 2.25%. The Nifty IT index is up 2.00% over last one year compared to the 13.11% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index added 1.81% and Nifty Services Sector index has slid 1.09% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.63% to close at 11588.35 while the SENSEX is down 0.85% to close at 38963.84 today.
