Trading of Nifty 50 index futures on the Singapore stock exchange indicates that the Nifty could fall 29 points at the opening bell. IT stocks Infosys and TCS declare their Q4 March 2019 results today, 12 April 2019.
Overseas, Asian stocks were trading mixed as investor caution prevailed ahead of the release of first-quarter corporate earnings. US stocks were little changed on Thursday as growing anxiety over a global economic slowdown offset upbeat data and investors waited for earnings season to kick into high gear.
Back home,key equity indices ended with small gains after a lackluster trading session yesterday, 11 April 2019. The Sensex rose 21.66 points or 0.06% to settle at 38,607.01. The Nifty 50 index rose 12.40 points or 0.11% to settle at 11,596.70.
The trading activity on that day showed that the foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 476.51 crore yesterday, 11 April 2019, as per provisional data released by the stock exchanges. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 16.58 crore yesterday, 11 April 2019, as per provisional data.
