Nifty February futures trade at premium
The Nifty February 2018 futures traded at 11033.90, at a premium of 17 points over spot closing of 11016.90 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 15.08 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 4.73 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index dropped 10.80 points or 0.1% to settle at 11,016.90, its lowest closing level since 22 January 2018.
ITC, ICICI Bank, Titan Company, L&T and State Bank of India (SBI) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. ITC February 2018 futures traded at 277, at a premium over spot closing of 275.50. ICICI Bank February 2018 futures traded at 346.10, at a discount to spot closing of 346.80.
Titan Company February 2018 futures traded at 827.50, near spot closing of 827. L&T February 2018 futures traded at 1461, at a premium over spot closing of 1458. SBI February 2018 futures traded at 306, at a premium over spot closing of 305.40.
The February 2018 F&O contracts expire on Thursday, 22 February 2018.
