Nifty May futures at premium
The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10585, a small premium of 0.30 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10584.70 in the cash market.
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10612.40, a premium of 27.70 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 7.37 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 5.87 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 20.65 points or 0.20% to settle at 10,584.70.
TCS, Infosys, MindTree, HDFC Bank and NIIT Technologies were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. TCS April 2018 futures traded at 3405.10, at a premium from spot closing of 3395.90. Infosys April 2018 futures traded at 1178.55, at a discount from spot closing of 1185.95.
MindTree April 2018 futures traded at 996.90, at a discount from spot closing of 999.80. HDFC Bank April 2018 futures traded at 1935.45, at a discount from spot closing of 1939.50. NIIT Technologies April 2018 futures traded at 1039.10, at a premium from spot closing of 1038.65.
The April 2018 F&O contracts expire on 26 April 2018.
