Volumes jump at Balkrishna Industries counter

Just Dial, Yes Bank, GMR Infrastructure and Indraprastha Gas are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 29 January 2016.

Balkrishna Industries clocked volume of 4.22 lakh shares by 13:39 IST on BSE, a 23.48-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 18,000 shares. The stock rose 0.14% at Rs 610.80.

Just Dial notched up volume of 5.06 lakh shares, a 5.8-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 87,000 shares. The stock tumbled 10.8% at Rs 640.40 extending yesterday's 8.5% slide triggered by the company reporting weak Q3 December 2015 results.

Yes Bank saw volume of 15.11 lakh shares, a 5.37-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.81 lakh shares. The stock surged 8.8% to Rs 732.85 after net profit rose 25.07% to Rs 675.74 crore on 17.49% increase in total income to Rs 4122.12 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q3 December 2014. The result was announced during market hours today, 29 January 2016.

GMR Infrastructure clocked volume of 1 crore shares, a 3.95-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 25.42 lakh shares. The stock rose 2.78% at Rs 12.95.

Indraprastha Gas saw volume of 2.91 lakh shares, a 3.57-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 82,000 shares. The stock fell 1.46% at Rs 555.
