Volumes jump at BSL counter

Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Shree Cement and Rain Industries are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 21 April 2015.

BSL clocked volume of 25.28 lakh shares by 14:31 IST on BSE, a 356.06 -times surge over two-week average daily volume of 7,000 shares. The stock rose 0.65% at Rs 39.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises notched up volume of 40.46 lakh shares, a 49.3-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 82,000 shares. The stock fell 0.62% at Rs 326.40.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries saw volume of 1.01 crore shares, a 40.38-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.53 lakh shares. The stock tumbled 8.44% at Rs 956 after Japan's Daiichi Sankyo announced that it has completed the sale of its entire stake in the Indian company. The stock witnessed huge volumes on NSE. So far 26.15 crore shares were traded in the counter on NSE, compared with average daily volume of 24.46 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

Shree Cement clocked volume of 35,000 shares, a 12.08-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock fell 0.56% at Rs 10,010.05.

Rain Industries saw volume of 66.59 lakh shares, a 7.54-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 8.83 lakh shares. The stock surged 4.66% at Rs 35.95.
