Volumes jump at CARE counter
The Ramco Cements, Ashok Leyland, Tata Coffee and ACC are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 10 October 2013.
Credit Analysis & Research (CARE) clocked volume of 1.49 lakh shares by 12:44 IST on BSE, a 117.09-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock rose 2.72% to Rs 550.
The Ramco Cements notched up volume of 4.05 lakh shares, a 68.42-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock rose 1.30% to Rs 187.
Ashok Leyland saw volume of 2.77 crore shares, a 21.31-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13.01 lakh shares. The stock jumped 4.75% to Rs 16.55 after a block deal of 2.60 crore shares was struck at Rs 15.90 per share on BSE at 9:26 IST.
Tata Coffee clocked volume of 1.42 lakh shares, a 10.60-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock spurted 8.15% to Rs 1,086.75.
ACC saw volume of 60,000 shares, a 3.86-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 16,000 shares. The stock rose 1% to Rs 1,136.
