Volumes jump at Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company counter

KPR Mill, Berger Paints India, Elder Pharmaceuticals, and SRF are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 2 January 2015.

Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company clocked volume of 6.54 lakh shares by 13:40 IST on BSE, a 85.19-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock surged 4.32% at Rs 495.

KPR Mill notched up volume of 2.14 lakh shares, a 15.15-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 14,000 shares. The stock rose 3.36% at Rs 381.85.

Berger Paints India saw volume of 5.83 lakh shares, a 14.14-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 41,000 shares. The stock surged 10.49% at Rs 447.60.

Elder Pharmaceuticals saw volume of 6.62 lakh shares, a 11.77-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 56,000 shares. The stock was locked at 20% upper circuit at Rs 150.20.

SRF saw volume of 2.84 lakh shares, a 9.75-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 29,000 shares. The stock jumped 6.31% at Rs 935.15.
