Volumes jump at Essar Ports counter

Great Eastern Shipping Company, Indag Rubber, Kaveri Seed Company and Centum Electronics are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 22 January 2015.

Essar Ports clocked volume of 58.57 lakh shares by 13:14 IST on BSE, a 64.06 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 91,000 shares. The stock surged 6.01% at Rs 118.25. A bulk deal of 56.60 lakh shares saw 1.32% equity of the Essar Ports changing hands at an average price of Rs 113.05 per share at 09:35 IST on BSE today, 22 January 2015.

Great Eastern Shipping Company notched up volume of 2.02 lakh shares, a 16.46-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock fell 0.24% at Rs 350.15.

Indag Rubber saw volume of 1.08 lakh shares, a 11.8-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock advanced 6.57% at Rs 929.

Kaveri Seed Company clocked volume of 3.38 lakh shares, a 10.25-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 33,000 shares. The stock shed 0.16% at Rs 770.

Centum Electronics saw volume of 70,000 shares, a 7.45-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock rose 0.56% at Rs 735.
