Volumes jump at Info Edge (India) counter

Indraprastha Gas, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Cadila Healthcare and Apollo Tyres are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 18 July 2013.

Info Edge (India) clocked volume of 3.51 lakh shares by 13:48 IST on BSE, a 56.22-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock surged 7.94% to Rs 310.

Info Edge (India)'s net profit galloped 363.72% to Rs 29.40 crore on 3.15% growth in total income from operations to Rs 120.76 crore in Q1 June 2013 over Q4 March 2013. The Q1 result was announced during trading hours today, 18 July 2013.

Indraprastha Gas notched up volume of 4.08 lakh shares, a 4.53-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 90,000 shares. The stock lost 4.73% to Rs 293.80.

Kotak Mahindra Bank saw volume of 1.87 lakh shares, a 4.35-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 43,000 shares. The stock lost 2.15% to Rs 695.

Kotak Mahindra Bank's profit after tax (PAT) rose 43% to Rs 403 crore on 27% increase in net interest income to Rs 917 crore in Q1 June 2013 over Q1 June 2012. The result was announced during trading hours today, 18 July 2013.

Cadila Healthcare clocked volume of 3.04 lakh shares, a 4.31-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 71,000 shares. The stock lost 0.22% at Rs 767.90.

Apollo Tyres saw volume of 44.26 lakh shares, a 4.27-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 10.37 lakh shares. The stock lost 0.42% to Rs 71 after turning ex-dividend today, 18 July 2013, for final dividend of 50 paise per share for the year ended 31 March 2013 (FY 2013).
